Skiing and snowboarding around Salt Lake City this winter will require some planning ahead. Due to large amounts of people flocking to popular Utah Ski Resorts, parking has become a challenge to navigate. Here at White Cloud Concierge we have created a 2023-2024 Utah Ski Area Parking Guide to help you navigate parking reservations and keep costs down this winter.
Plan ahead this season for your skiing and riding commutes and try your best to carpool to the mountains. The 2023-2024 Utah Ski Area Parking Guide aims to ensure skiers and riders have a guaranteed parking spot, reduce early morning traffic congestion in the canyons and save you more valuable time!
Snowbird
For the 2023-24 winter season, Snowbird Ski Resort will continue its hybrid parking program, similar to the previous season. Guests have several options for parking, including free lots on a first-come, first-served basis, reserved daily parking for a fee, and the option to purchase a Preferred Parking Pass (which is sold out for the 2023-2024 season).
Free parking is available at various lots, including Entry 1, Upper Gad Valley Lot, Wilbere Hill, Main Lot, and others. Carpoolers with four or more people can access designated parking spots in specific lots, and discounted rates are offered for the Lower Gad Valley Preferred Parking Lot. Snowbird encourages carpooling and offers surprise giveaways on select peak traffic days through the Canyon Carpool Club.
Reserved parking spots can be booked in advance for the Lower Gad Valley or Pond Preferred Parking Lots. Missed reservations are non-refundable, but they can be refunded via the parkwhiz app by 7 am on the day of the reservation.
To make a parking reservation, see the parking map or how full the Snowbird lots are, check out Snowbird’s Winter 2023-2024 Parking Guide.

Brighton
For the 2023/24 season, Brighton Resort is introducing a parking reservation system to address traffic congestion and preserve everyone’s experience. This system combines elements of paid and free parking, along with carpooling incentives. Starting from the opening day in November 2023 until the closing day in April 2024, reservations will be mandatory for both the main and secondary lots, including snow ramps. Reservation hours are from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. After 1 p.m., all parking will be free and reservations won’t be necessary.
Brighton Season Passholders will have free parking, but they will still need to make reservations. Passholders will receive a specific number of reusable reservation vouchers, allowing them to reserve parking as needed throughout the season.

Parking at Deer Valley is complementary and primarily centers around the Snow Park Lodge base area, comprising five lots. These lots tend to fill up, especially around 9 a.m. on weekends, holidays, and peak times.
Download the Deer Valley app to stay informed about parking availability and watch the live parking lot tracker. This will give you the opportunity to make decisions about heading directly to the mountain or using one of the offsite lots, which provide free shuttle service.
For early arrivals, there are limited parking spots available at the Jordanelle Gondola. These spots tend to fill up by 8:30 a.m. on most days. Weekend overflow parking is available at Treasure Mountain Junior High and weekday overflow parking is located at Richardson Flat Park & Ride.
